Visit aims to assess progress, boost morale, and support Radda’s education reforms
The Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Agency for Mass Education, Hajiya Bilkisu Muhammad Kaikai, has undertaken an extensive inspection tour of Tsangaya schools and adult literacy centres across Malumfashi, Kafur, and Danja Local Government Areas.
The visit, which took place on Thursday, 15th May 2025, was aimed at boosting morale among educators and learners, as well as assessing the facilities and performance of the institutions involved in promoting literacy and basic education in the state.
Among the centres visited were Mal. Musa School in Malumfashi; Mal. Hamisu Liman School and Mal. Aliyu Kafur School at Shago Bakwai near Glo Line in Kafur; and the School for the Hearing Impaired in Danja. Also included were Mal. Ibrahim’s Tsangaya in the GRA area of Danja and the Literacy Centre at the palace of the District Head of Danja.
Speaking at each stop, Hajiya Kaikai reiterated the commitment of Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda to combating illiteracy and empowering citizens through accessible education and vocational skills. She also highlighted the agency’s strategic plans, developed in partnership with the state government, to strengthen literacy programmes and increase community impact.
The Executive Secretary expressed satisfaction with the dedication of both instructors and learners, commending their efforts and extending appreciation to Governor Radda for his unwavering support of the agency's mission.
In separate remarks, representatives of local government chairpersons and traditional rulers praised the revitalised literacy initiative and lauded Hajiya Kaikai's leadership, describing it as the most impactful since the agency’s inception. They thanked Governor Radda for appointing her, noting her transformative approach.
Heads of the various centres visited also expressed gratitude for the visit and offered prayers for continued success for the agency and the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda, Ph.D.
