POLO HAS LOST ONE OF ITS GREATEST. DAWULE BABA.... HIS LIFE AND TIMES..

  Dawule was born in Maiduguri Borno state, on the 24th February, 1959. He attended both primary and secondary schools in Maiduguri. Then after that, he went to school of forestry Ibadan for his Ordinary and Higher National Diplomas.

He was a most watched polo player in Ibadan, He later join Usman Dantata because he liked his game. That was when his professional polo started in 1982. He had played with him both here and abroad, and that has made him to come into contact with professionals polo players from Argentina, Malaysia and people like prince Charles of England.

During his playing days, he plays on his own, while teams like Fifth Chukker, El-amin, Trappco or any other team that invites him to play for them, he doesn't turn down such invitations if he wants to play. He played for Usman Dantata in America, England and Brazil and host of other countries. After he left Dantata, he joined Allied Ranch of Muktar Aruwa and played with him in America, England and Nigeria. After his active playing day's, he actively started to sponsor his own team  Deebe farms. 

During his playing days, he won uncomfortable trophies to his name.  He had handicap plus five in 1988 for 10 years, he was there until 1998 when he came down to handicap plus four, dropped again to three and went back to two year after, followed by Bello Buba who also had five. He is also an employer of labour, in his farm he has grooms, cattle breeders and over 30 staffs on his payroll. He has lots of local and agentine horses in his farm. He is into polo business of buying and selling of horses.

 Dawule is leaving behind a legacy that is impactful  that can never be erased. May His soul rest in peace
