So President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has handed Nigeria to the United States (US), and France to ‘help’ secure the country from the general mayhem caused by criminals, such as Boko Haram, the ubiquitous Bandits, Lakurawa, and others. That is definitely a bad news, not a pleasant one to hear, for the people of the North West, majority of whom are Muslims.
The gullible Nigerians ought to have known from two of his pre Presidency statements that he was not seeking for the country’s number one position for the benefit of the majority of the compatriots. He only sought for the presidency of the country to divide it into Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria.
And some selfish Northerners preferred that a corrupt person became president, rather than a leader who would try his best to make things easy for his compatriots. Them and the Northern dregs of the society, whose only concern is where the money for the next fix, the next drug, the next alcohol, the next intoxicant, is coming from.
Then Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated unambiguously on the floor of the Senate, in front of those who attended the plenary of the upper chamber of the NASS, that “I do not believe in the unity of Nigeria”. The pro division from the North Senator
There was his EMILOKAN statement to an exclusive tribal audience in Lagos, when he emerged as the Presidential flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
Today, I was visited by a couple of people from my DARKNESS providers, the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), who came to ask for the payment of the DARKNESS the company has provided to my house last month. Since they provided me with less than three (3) hours a day of electricity, my guess is that the KEDCO people were in my house to collect the money for the DARKNESS they have supplied me the past month. The story is not dissimilar to what they have provided me with in the earlier months and years since the assumption of Mr. Adebayo Adelabu as Minister of Power for the Tinubu regime.
And the Ministry of DARKNESS did NOT disappoint in Katsina, even with Mr. President himself on a two-day official visit to the state. Those who expected to have an uninterrupted supply of electricity while the visit lasts, were of course, disappointed by the ministry. It performed the usual function it is infamously noted for, keeping most of the people even in the capital of the state in DARKNESS most of the time. Except those in the government house, the houses of the affluent, the politically well connected and the security bosses.
This may as well be part of the DISDAIN with which the President holds the core North from time immemorial, a development that goes hand in glove with the world view of some prominent members of the Villa CABAL, and his Southern supporters.
For a long time, Senator Tinubu and his supporters, including some so called intellectuals, want the (parasitic) Northern part of the country to be excised from Nigeria. Now may appear to offer the president to realise that dream. And going by his undisguised slight of the hand, the reader’s conclusion is as good as anyones as to where he is headed.
Before I missed the purpose (TOPIC) of this article, it worth to remind us the that a couple of days ago, former President Olusegun Obasanjo warned the leading opposition presidential wanna-bees that “no individual opposition candidate—be it Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, or Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso stands a chance of defeating President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential elections without what he ominously termed as a “war.”
According to him, if allowed to ‘win’ a second term, “President Tinubu would become more dangerous than all African presidents and even Hitler.” The statement has left many watchers of the country’s political development revisiting debates around dictatorship, electoral abracadabra, and the democratic future of Nigeria.
The serious comments, allegedly made during a closed-door meeting with political allies and which was later leaked to the media, have set social and political circles abuzz with widespread reactions across Nigeria.
Former President Obasanjo, known for his outspoken political positions and deep involvement in Nigeria’s democratic transition, allegedly described President Tinubu as “more dangerous than all African presidents and even Hitler.” The statement has stunned political watchers, rekindling debates around authoritarianism, electoral manipulation, and Nigeria’s democratic future.
Many civil society groups and neutral observers have acknowledged the strategic truth in the former president’s warning, believing that Nigeria’s democracy cannot afford another four years of opposition disunity and voter apathy.
In his contribution to the debate on the current state of the nation, a public commentator, Omoluabi Oodua, described President Tinubu as “a man who prioritises politics above the welfare of his subjects. A man who rose to power by condemning opposition leaders only to grab power and use same to bring poverty, depression and stagnation to millions of lives in his country.
“President Tinubu met almost a ruined economy but chose to luxuriate himself to a super private jet even when Nigerians kicked against such a wasteful venture. The cry of Nigerians makes no sense. To him and his political bandits, it is a mere noise.
“Despite several foreign trips made by my President, most especially to France, Foreign Direct Investment has declined abysmally to $29.83m while he has also borrowed over $6bn since he assumed power. Sadly, he has a fully charged and self funded media outfit that churn out propaganda about the good things he is doing even though Nigerians don’t feel the impacts of his economic magic wand.
“Lies may thrive for years but truth must catch up with it one day. Same economy they lied to Nigerians as one of the thriving economies in Africa has been on its kneels and realistically, impoverished Nigerians the more. Hydra headed inflation has become the order of the day due to policy missteps. Insecurity has taken a new dimension as witnessed in the North Eastern part of Nigeria with bandits capturing half of a state. A place where bandits live in luxury, have wives (captured teenagers and villagers) and even get steady food supplies.
“It has become incredibly obvious that Tinubu led government is bereaved of ideas and lack the understanding to learn from its policy missteps. The ideal thing is to review their policies intermittently and discountenance policies that are not working. Unfortunately, due to their arrogance and obsession for power/control, they ignore the masses and continue to run their bourgeoisie economic template that has brought nothing but hunger, depressing and homelessness to millions.
“I will like to vote a Yoruba man to run 2 terms as Nigeria President but why should I do that when poverty does not even recognise my tribe as Yoruba person. Sadly, no one has been able to convince me why I should vote my fellow tribe man. As 2027 draw closer, things might get worse if these policy missteps are not addressed as IMF already predicted that more Nigerians will be plunged into abject poverty by 2027 due to President Tinubu’s lavish spending.
“Due to the hunger in the land, the President’s second term in office is not guaranteed and if he intends to rig the system, he may as well bid farewell to democracy. Nigerians have had enough of political manipulations”.
And only today, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku (Alias AA) the presidential candidate of the leading opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, urged President Tinubu to call the First Son (Seyi) to order for his increasing political visibility.
“The Presidency is not an inheritance to be passed down like family property. President Tinubu must remember that Nigeria is a democratic republic, not a monarchy.
The First Son is alleged to become the de facto Vice President, while the de jure Vice President, Kashim Shettima, is reduced to a mere errand person who is NEVER given any serious responsibility since he suggested that the new tax bill be subjected to a robust debate by relevant stakeholders before it was forwarded to the National Assembly (NASS) for final accent.
The new tax bill is suspected to be tailored to favour Lagos state, where most of the banks, all the telecommunications companies, and many other the companies in the country have their headquarters. In addition, the controversial new tax bill, adds the government as a beneficiary to a dead person’s estate, including Muslims. This is a contravention to the sharing formula made by God in the Holy Quran, which did not include the government as a beneficiary to the wealth left behind by the deceased.
May God rid Nigeria of CORRUPT and other self serving rulers, who wore the garb of selfless leaders, who came to serve and save the citizens from the ravages and tyranny of DICTATORSHIP of BAD LEADERS in the country. Instead, most of them are actually the enemies the citizens need to fight and keep the nation CLEAN and UNITED.
