ABUJA – The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has revoked the Right of Occupancy for Plot No. 243 in Central Area, Abuja, allocated to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat.

In a letter dated March 13, 2025, the FCTA Department of Land Administration cited the party's failure to pay annual ground rent for 20 years, from January 1, 2006, to January 1, 2025, despite multiple reminders and public notices since 2023.

The revocation, issued under the Land Use Act of 1978, was signed by Chijioke Nwankwoeze, Director of Land Administration, on behalf of the Minister of the FCT. The property has now reverted to the FCTA, which will take immediate possession.

The PDP has not yet responded to the development.
