Governor Radda extends medical support to victims of terrorist attacks in Katsina

In a move that demonstrates compassion in the face of increasing security concerns, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has authorized the payment of medical bills for victims of recent terrorist attacks in Katsina State.

Among the governor’s top priorities is to provide immediate assistance to individuals who have suffered gunshot wounds during these attacks. One such victim, Malam Aliyu Kabiru of Salihawa Fulani Village in Matazu Local Government area, sustained a grievous spinal cord injury due to a gunshot wound inflicted by the assailants.

To ensure that Malam Aliyu’s critical implant surgery was carried out without further delay, Governor Radda approved the settlement of all his medical bills and expenses associated with the operation.

Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Katsina State Governor, disclosed this in an official statement released on Wednesday.

Kaula emphasized that Governor Radda’s efforts are not only aimed at the victims physical healing but also at sending a resounding message of solidarity and support to the people of Katsina State.

Governor Radda’s support also reaches out to the brave soldiers who sustained injuries while responding to these unfortunate incidents. These wounded soldiers are presently undergoing treatment at the General Amadi Rimi Specialists Hospital in Katsina, Kaula noted.

Radda’s Spokesman further disclosed that a Lance Corporal, identified as Mohammed Tijani paid the supreme price in the tragic incident that occurred around Gurbin Magarya Junction, near Jibia-Batsari Road.

Governor Radda extended his deepest condolences to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, and the grieving family of Lance Corporal Mohammed Tijani. The governor’s thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time, as he hopes for eternal peace for the departed and strength for the bereaved family to cope with their profound loss.
