“We Have Delivered, Let Us Do More” — Governor Radda Seeks Second Term Support in Kankara

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has urged the people of Kankara to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his second term bid to consolidate on the good work the administrations have recorded.

The Governor made the call at the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 campaign rally in Kankara Local Government Area, where he challenged political leaders to prove credibility through service, not empty promises.

The Governor noted that Kankara has witnessed tangible interventions under his administration, including palliatives, farmer support, youth empowerment, school upgrades and hospital development.

"The people of Kankara have witnessed how this government has provided palliatives, supported farmers, empowered young people, upgraded schools, taken over hospitals and developed healthcare facilities. We are not just making promises; these are interventions you can assess," he said.

He assured that his administration will sustain the momentum if given another mandate and thanked residents for their massive turnout, which he described as confidence in the APC government.

"You have shown us great respect and dignity. You have demonstrated your loyalty, your love and your commitment to Katsina State. Insha Allah, we will not disappoint the confidence you have placed in us," he assured.

Governor Radda said the political journey ahead must be founded on truth, sincerity and accountability, and not on lies, deception or propaganda.

"Anyone who promises you a political ticket without first examining your capacity and competence, or tells you that you will become a leader without considering your background and ability to handle leadership responsibilities, is simply deceiving you," he said.

He cautioned the people against politicians who abandon their communities for years but return at election time to seek votes.

"Some people are nowhere to be found when there is work to be done. They do not participate in community activities or contribute to the development of their people. Yet, when election time approaches, they suddenly appear after three and a half years to ask for votes. My people, that is a joke," he said.

Governor Radda also urged residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards and vote massively for the APC from national to local government levels in 2027.

Earlier, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe said Kankara has benefited from over 600 projects under the Radda administration, with impact felt in virtually every ward.

"Virtually every ward in Kankara has felt the impact of this administration's development programmes. The projects are significant because they directly address the needs of our people," he said.

He cited the upgrading of Government Secondary School, Dan Maidoki, into a full secondary school, alongside scholarship programmes and youth empowerment initiatives.

Arch. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Director-General of the Tinubu-Dikko Campaign Council, praised Kankara for its consistent support for progressive leadership and called for translating enthusiasm into votes at every polling unit.

Co-Chairman of the Council, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, called for unity, discipline and coordination among party members, urging them to focus on ideas and development rather than divisive rhetoric.

Other leaders who expressed solidarity included Senator Muntari Dan-Dutse, APC State Chairman Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa, Hon. Hamza Sule Faskari, House of Representatives candidate for Kankara/Faskari/Sabuwa, Hon. Lawal Abdu Ibrahim of Kankara State Assembly, and Kankara Local Government Chairman Hon. Kasimu Dantsoho Katoge.

Also in attendance were Deputy Director of the Campaign Council Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Secretary-General Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, government officials, traditional rulers and APC stakeholders.
