The three programmes listed for verification are HND Software and Web Development, HND Networking and Cloud Computing, and ND Fisheries Technology.

In the letter, the Polytechnic requested NBTE to provide the cost implications for conducting the exercises through physical inspection.

The proposed visits form part of the institution's efforts to ensure that its academic programmes meet the regulatory requirements and standards established for technical and vocational education in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Polytechnic recently commenced a two-day accreditation exercise involving four academic programmes, with officials of NBTE, representatives of professional bodies, resource persons and other stakeholders participating in the assessment.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Rector, Malam Aminu Kallah Doro, assured the assessment team of the institution's cooperation and readiness to implement recommendations aimed at improving academic standards.

He emphasised the importance of accreditation in strengthening educational quality, infrastructure, staffing and practical skills development.

The Chairman of the Governing Council, Lawal Aliyu Daura, also urged the assessment team to conduct an objective evaluation and provide recommendations that would support the institution's development.

The accreditation and verification exercises are expected to strengthen the Polytechnic's academic delivery and ensure compliance with national technical education standards.
