The Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano Prof Haruna Musa, on behalf of the university, has commended and appreciated distinguished Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke for his "remarkable demonstration of commitment to education and human capital development".
The commendation was conveyed in a letter signed by the Vice Chancellor and presented to Senator Yakubu when he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor on Monday the 17th of August 2026.
Senator Yakubu Lado was in the university to attend the spectacular award giving ceremony organized by postgraduate students of Katsina State origin studying at the university to honour him for his outstanding contributions to the development of education in Nigeria and Katsina State in particular.
According to the Vice Chancellor, "Your kind gesture of paying registration fees for three consecutive academic sessions for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of Katsina State origin at Bayero University Kano
Is truly commendable. "Your intervention, which has benefited all categories of postgraduate students, has fully paid the registration fees of 123 postgraduate students (33 PhD and 90 Masters students in the 2025/2026 academic session."
Prof Haruna emphasized that Senator Yakubu's contributions to education of the students have not only alleviated their financial burden but have also inspired them to strive for academic excellence. He expressed the gratitude of the students and the university for the support and partnership in the university's quest to produce high quality graduates who will contribute to the development of Katsina State in particular and Nigeria in general.
He, on behalf of the university, further extended deep appreciation and commendation for Senator Yakubu Lado's philantrophy and prayed that the Almighty Allah should reward him abundantly and grants him the capacity to continue the good works.
