Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Tuesday joined the Muslim Ummah at the funeral prayer of the late Hajiya Rukayya (Tsohuwa), the stepmother of his Principal Private Secretary (PPS), Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji.
The deceased passed away on Monday night after the Isha prayer at her residence in Sabon Layi, Katsina, at the age of 91.
She is survived by six children, including her eldest son, Alhaji Babangida Aliyu, Matawallen Majidadin Katsina.
The funeral prayer was held at the Shaiskawa area of Katsina metropolis, after which she was laid to rest at Danmarna Cemetery.
Governor Radda joined members of the bereaved family, government officials, religious leaders, friends, and other sympathizers in paying their final respects and offering prayers for the deceased.
The Governor prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive her shortcomings, grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and bless the family with the strength, patience, and fortitude to bear the loss.
