Governor of Zamfara State,Dr. Dauda Lawal has announced a state government donation of ₦20m to the Zamfara State Chapter of Nigeria Legion. He announced this during the launch of 2025 Remembrance Emblem.
Similarly, the Governor said his administration was committed to the welfare of families of fallen heroes. In a speech during the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, Dr. Lawal said the sacrifice made by fallen heroes in the country would never be in vain. "This day is a tribute to our fallen heroes and a call to action for all people of Zamfara State and the entire country" said the Governor.
A statement issued by the Governor's spokesperson Sulaiman Bala Idris indicates that; Governor Lawal reaffirmed resolve of his administration to sponsor treatment of any Officer injured during security operations and provision of support to the families of those who paid supreme price.
He said despite limited resources,his administration was doing its best in addressing security challenges in all nooks and crannies of the state
