GOVERNMENT HOUSE, KATSINA PRESS RELEASE
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has felicitated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
Governor Radda described the Sultan as a fine traditional ruler whose reign has continued to anchor unity, peace and progress across the North and Nigeria at large.
“His Eminence has, over the years, provided calm leadership in times of tension and wise counsel in times of decision. He remains a father to all and a bridge builder whose voice carries weight in every corner of this country,” the Governor stressed.
Governor Radda also noted that the Sultan’s commitment to interfaith harmony, education, and community development has strengthened the traditional institution and earned him respect beyond Nigeria’s borders.
“As you mark this milestone, we pray that Almighty Allah grants you more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue to lead and guide us,” he prayed.
The Governor, on behalf of the government and the people of Katsina wished the Sultan continued peace and fulfillment in his service to Islam, the nation and humanity.
