Sen. Olajide Ipinsagba, who represents Ondo North Senatorial District, has praised President Bola Tinubu for what he described as exemplary leadership and political maturity demonstrated during the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election in Ondo State.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Akure, Ipinsagba said the conduct of the primary election reflected Tinubu’s commitment to democratic principles, fairness and the unity of the ruling party.

The APC senatorial primary election was held on May 18 across Ondo State.

According to the lawmaker, the outcome of the exercise reinforced confidence in the party’s internal democratic process and showcased a transparent system that respected the wishes of party stakeholders.

“President Tinubu has once again demonstrated remarkable leadership and political wisdom through the conduct of the APC nomination process. The exercise reflected his dedication to democracy, fairness and the cohesion of our great party,” he said.

Ipinsagba also commended APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) for overseeing what he described as a credible and transparent exercise.

He further acknowledged the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his support throughout the primary election, noting that the minister’s commitment to the unity and progress of both the APC and Ondo State contributed significantly to the success of the process.

The senator said the overwhelming support he received during the primary had strengthened his determination to continue delivering quality representation, championing people-focused legislation and attracting development projects to communities across Ondo North.

Calling for unity among party members, Ipinsagba urged APC stakeholders to put aside differences and work together to strengthen the party ahead of future electoral contests.

He stressed that reconciliation and collective action remained essential for sustaining the party’s victories and ensuring that the benefits of democracy reach more Nigerians.

The lawmaker also reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing policies aimed at accelerating socio-economic growth, improving infrastructure, empowering youths and women, and enhancing the welfare of constituents.

Ipinsagba further appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence that the administration’s policies would foster economic growth, national development and lasting peace across the country.
