The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD), Hon. Prof. Umar A. Katsayal, is scheduled to appear on the Nigerian Television Authority’s (NTA) flagship breakfast programme, Good Morning Nigeria, today, September 10, 2026.
Prof. Katsayal will lead a panel of transport experts to discuss the recently unveiled National Land Transport Policy, which was officially launched on September 3, 2026.
Other members of the expert panel are Prof. Samuel G. Odewumi, Dr. Emmanuel J. Oche and Dr. Mercy Ilori.
The programme is expected to provide an in-depth analysis of the policy, with particular attention to its strategic framework, implementation plans and potential impact on transportation, national connectivity and economic development.
The discussion will also provide an opportunity for experts to examine the policy’s relevance to Nigeria’s evolving transport sector and the role of effective land transportation in driving sustainable national development.
Transport stakeholders, members of the academic community and the general public have been encouraged to tune in to the programme to benefit from the experts’ perspectives on the new policy and its implications for the country.
